ALDE Party member leads new government of Estonia


Last week the new Prime Minister Jüri Ratas (Keskerakond) gave his oath of office and announced the ministers in the newly appointed government. Outgoing Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas (Reform Party) was then released from office.

European Liberal Democrats will meet for their 37th Congress this week in Warsaw and bring together over 800 of delegates, party leaders and decision makers from our 60 member parties from all across Europe.

PM Lars Løkke Rasmussen forms new coalition government


After 17 months of leading a one-party minority government with Venstre Danish PM Lars Løkke Rasmussen announced on Sunday 27 November he had agreed to form a new coalition government with the Liberal Alliance and Conservative party.

    UDI from France and LDP from Macedonia have been accepted as new ALDE Party member parties at the ALDE Party Council during the Congress in Warsaw. The next Council meeting will take place in Ljubljana in June 2017.
