Further to the Liberal breakfast meeting organised by the ELDR in July, the ALDE group in the EU Committee of the Regions and the United Democrats Party of Cyprus organise a joint event in Nicosia on 6 September.
The topics discussed during the event will be “the relaunch of the economy in Europe: how the reunification of Cyprus can contribute to a stronger economy” and “how the reunification of Cyprus can help the country out of the economic crisis”.
Speakers at the event will be Praxoula Antoniadou-Kyriacou, President of the United Democrats, Bas Verkerk, President of the ALDE group in the Committee of the Regions as well as Dr. Mehmet Çakici, Leader of TDP, the Turkish Cypriot Social Democrats Party.
The meeting will be open to the public and there will be ample time for discussion with the speakers.
The event will be held in concomitance with the Committee of the Regions’ external Bureau meeting in Nicosia on 7 September.
