14 female liberal politicians graduate from European Women’s Academy

20/06/2017

On 14 June, 14 female liberal politicians graduated from the ALDE Party’s European Women’s Academy supported by Friedrich Naumann Foundation and European Liberal Forum. The European Women’s Academy brought together 14 rising stars from ALDE Party member parties for three sessions from February to June for training sessions on political leadership and campaigning.

Last week, they met for the third and last session in which the women were trained in branding and image building. Former Estonian Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus gave an inspiring presentation on her political career while Liina Vahtras, former communication manager to ex-Prime Minister Taavi Roivas, explained how to build a political brand. The ladies also had speech and video interviewing training.

Last year’s EWA graduate Rebekka Borsch from Venstre Norway took time off of her busy campaign trail to discuss how she fundraised for her campaign and built her team based on her learnings from last year’s Academy.
