Verhofstadt in Eurovision debate between the leading candidates
On 15 May at 21:00 CET in a unique television event, Eurovision will give voters the opportunity to put their questions to the five leading candidates seeking the EU’s top job of European Commission President. For the ALDE Party, Guy Verhofstadt will participate in the debate.

Olli Rehn on the campaign trail in London and eastern Finland
Last weekend, he visited Karelia in Finland, one of the easternmost parts of the EU. On Monday he visited London, where he met with the leader of the Liberal Democrats Nick Clegg as well as the party's leading candidates for the European elections.

On 5 May, ALDE Party candidate for the European Commission presidency Guy Verhofstadt visited Stockholm to boost the campaign of Sweden’s ALDE member parties Folkpartiet and Centerpartiet. Guy Verhofstadt took part in a conference in the Swedish Parliament.

Priorities of liberals in defending human rights: what is next?
A seminar entitled “Liberals’ priorities in defending human rights” was held last weekend in Lithuania. Participants of the seminar had a chance to interact with human rights experts who explained the importance of human rights for liberals in Lithuania and the whole European Union.
