Eight ALDE Group MEPs have been named in the final shortlist for the 2015 MEP Awards as recognition for their hard work over the last twelve months in their respective specialist policy areas. The shortlist is produced after stakeholders nominate MEPs in each policy area.

On Tuesday 27 January, ALDE Party President Sir Graham Watson officially opened the new headquarters of the ALDE Party. In the presence of Liberal Members of the European Parliament and many others he said the new secretariat is a "home for European Liberal Democrats".
