Liberal International celebrates 70th anniversary
Liberal International, the worldwide federation of liberal political parties, held their 70th Anniversary Congress in the principality of Andorra, from 18-21 May 2017. The Congress marked the historic culmination of the 2017 LI manifesto process – a global reflection on liberalism in the 21st century.

Strong results for liberals in municipal and mayoral elections in Croatia
Amid continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of the HDZ-led national government, Croatian voters went to the polls in municipal and mayoral elections where all three ALDE Party member parties obtained positive results around the country.

LGBT Pub Talk discusses "Crossing Borders - Unity in diversity"
On Friday 19 May, on the eve of the Belgian Pride festival, liberals gathered for a Liberal Pride Pub Talk in Brussels, organised by the ALDE Party and Friedrich Naumann Foundation Europe, to discuss the situation of LGBTI+ rights in Europe. Liberals also joined the Pride parade, on Saturday.

The summit, that will take place on 28 August 2017, aims at providing an opportunity for young liberal democrat local and regional politicians (18-35 years old with an elected mandate and having responsibility either in government or in opposition) to meet and share ideas and best practice amongst themselves.

In 4 days the ALDE Party staff and friends will run the Brussels 20km to raise money for our European Women’s Academy. Help us raise more money for our programme training women how to be successful in elections by sponsoring the runners, and be the reason that more liberal women finish first!
