+Europa holds Founding Congress in Milan

Members of +Europa met in Milan, Italy, last week at the founding congress of the party ahead of the forthcoming elections to the European Parliament.

During the event, delegates elected Benedetto Della Vedova as Secretary with more than 55% of the vote, and elected an Assembly of 100 people on the basis of seven different electoral lists. This Assembly will in due course vote for its President, and for a Bureau of 25-30 members.

ALDE Group leader Guy Verhofstadt MEP and Astrid Panosyan, co-founder of La République En Marche, France, attended the Congress and delivered keynote speeches.
