AIM Event - The Wines of Europe: What Future for European Wine Making?

On 6 November, the ALDE Party Individual Members section in France is organising a colloquium on the theme "The Wines of Europe" in Bordeaux, France.

The colloquium will examine the impact of global warming on both the production and the consumption of wine in Europe and the reaction of the European Union to this phenomenon. 

The event will take place in English and French with simultaneous translation to either language available for guests.

10:00 - 10:10 am Introduction
10:10 - 11:00 am Plenary 1 : Explanation of Europe’s wine geography and its evolution with climate change
11:00 - 12:00 am Plenary 2 : European wine policy and its future direction
12:30 - 1:30 pm : Lunch
1:30 - 2:00 pm : Coffee
2:00 - 3:00 pm Round Table 1 : Problems and solutions for wine export
3:15 - 4:15 pm Round Table 2 :  What is the position of Bordeaux Wine in an evolving Europe?
4:30 - 5:30 pm Round Table 3 :  How can wine production and markets best be matched in Europe?
5:30 - 6:00 pm Conclusion : Synthesis and political messages
