ALDE AIM training - How to disagree productively

June 23, 2021 | 07:30PM-09:30PM

On 23 June at 19:30 CEST, ALDE Party will hold an online training for its AIM members and Liberal Associates on "How to disagree productively".

People often say: let's agree to disagree - but what if we didn't? What if we did actually try to persuade each other in a discussion? In the workshop 'How to disagree productively' you'll discover how you can have a fruitful difference of opinion. With respect for the other side and an attitude of curiosity, it is actually possible to learn from each other and have fun in the meantime.

This workshop will be held by Daniël Schut, who trains leading national and European politicians, lawyers and scientists in the art of argumentation. He was a National Champion of Debating and made it to the finals of both the European and World Championships. Like the ancient rhetoricians, Daniël teaches anyone how to defend any position, but unlike the ancient rhetoricians, he has found ways to help people inch closer to truth, as well.

Interested? You can now join our AIM Membership Program, or the Liberal Associates Program if you are form a country outside the EU, and attend the event!
