Given the ongoing extraordinary circumstances and following legal counsel, the ALDE Party Bureau has decided to postpone the ALDE Congress – planned to take place on 16-18 April in Stockholm – until June 2021.

The decision was made during the Bureau meeting on 15 February, in view of the current COVID-19 situation.

The Bureau will continue to monitor the situation and will take a final decision on the format and possible location of the Congress at the latest by mid-April, with the aim to have a congress in June 2021, no matter the format and fully online if need be.

Further information will be communicated to member parties in due course and the revised political deadlines will be available on the ALDE Party website when the dates are known.
