On 4-6 October, European liberals will gather for the next ALDE Party Congress meeting in Estoril, Portugal.

Leaders and delegates from our 76 member parties will elect the next ALDE Party President and six Vice-Presidents for a two-year mandate to form part of the new Bureau. 

As per ALDE Party statutes, candidates “must be a member of, and be nominated by, their full member party” through a letter signed by the party leader, Secretary General or President. 

Following the deadline for nominations on 13 September, the full list of candidates will be published on ALDE Party’s website.

Bureau candidates will take part in a debate on 5 October, after which delegates will vote through electronic voting booths, with results announced during the Congress meeting on 6 October.

Delegates will also vote on a series of urgency resolutions and take part in various thematic debates and events across the three-day event.
