On 8 April, ALDE Party Swedish member party, Liberalerna, welcomed a new leader, Johan Pehrson.

Pehrson has been a Member of Sweden’s Parliament since 2018, representing Örebro County, and previously represented the same constituency from 1998 to 2015. He became a member of the Liberal People's Party in 1985 with a previous background from the Liberal Youth of Sweden.

He participated in our ALDE Party Leaders Meeting on 24 March in Brussels where he had the chance to exchange views with other party leaders and representatives from all over Europe including Ukraine.

“Meeting with the Liberals from the ALDE Party. On support for Ukraine, protection of refugees, isolation of the Russian regime and kleptocrats. In-depth collaboration for fossil-free energy. Consensus with Icelandic and Danish colleagues”, he said.
