On September 10, we welcomed Manuel Costa to the ALDE Party offices in Brussels as our new Social Media Trainee. 

Born and raised in Coimbra, Portugal, where he graduated with a degree in International Relations, Manuel’s passion for European politics pushed him to pursue an international experience. 

He studied at KU Leuven in Belgium through the Erasmus+ programme and volunteered abroad twice with the European Union Solidarity Corps in the Czech Republic and Italy. 

Manuel is eager to contribute to the Press & Communications team. He joins us after completing a Master’s degree in political communication at Cardiff University and is a member of ALDE Party member Iniciativa Liberal in Portugal. 

He will work to assist with the creation of ALDE Party’s social media content across multiple platforms as well as other online activities. 

“I hope to contribute to the party’s liberal objectives of a richer, fairer and freer Europe where everyone has the right to chase their dreams,” he said.
