ALDE President: Russian involvement in 2014 terrorist attack must be condemned

ALDE Party President Hans van Baalen strongly condemns the Russian involvement in the 2014 terrorist attack in the Czech Republic, claiming the lives of two people. It has recently been reported that the Russian GRU intelligence service was involved in the case.

President van Baalen calls for the European Union to stand without reservation and in unity with the Czech Republic, noting that Russia is imposing control over sovereign nations, which is not acceptable. Van Baalen calls for sanctions to be put in place.

The leaders of the European Parliament Groups have also issued a statement in solidarity with the Czech Republic.
