European liberals can and should lead by example when it comes to gender equality. The Alliance Of Her initiative is a powerful way for us to achieve this, and the programme has proven results.
The past year has been tough for the Class of 2020, but for the 18 talented liberal female leaders from across Europe, the long wait was finally over when they met in Belgium on 7-10 October.
During the insightful and interesting sessions spread over a number of days, and just like the four classes before them, each participant was able to develop their political journeys by sharing, engaging and challenging themselves in an open, relaxing and enabling space.
The members of Class 2020 left the venue with a boost in motivation, keen to fight for a more liberal Europe in a socio-political arena that too often refuses to take women seriously or prioritise the pressing issues that women care the most about.
Moreover, the Alliance Of Her has launched the call of applications for the two classes of 2022. This includes a class tailored to youth, designed with the help of LYMEC, where we endeavour to bring together the voices of young women (ages 18 to 30) and encourage them to rise up and fight for a liberal future! Find out more on how to apply here.
For those in Brussels, you are welcome to join us at our upcoming networking reception for allies of the Alliance Of Her on 27 October.
