Field of expertise: Digital security

Anouk van Brug was born in Amsterdam and grew up on a houseboat. As Chief Information Security Officer for the government, she works every day to make the Netherlands digitally more secure in a challenging field, as developments in this area are moving at a rapid pace with the associated risks.

"More and more decisions about our lives are made in Brussels. And on the one hand that is good. But we must keep an eye on preventing, addressing and solving problems of Dutch people. That is why I want to commit myself to bridging the distance between the Netherlands and Brussels," she said.
