As per ALDE Party statutes, delegation lists closes one week prior to the Council Meeting. The deadline for closure of delegations is Saturday 2 February 2019 at 12:00 CET. After this time, International Officers will still be able to validate the attendance of delegates from their parties, but will no longer be able to allocate voting rights or make changes to their delegations. The ALDE Party Bureau can allow for changes to delegations in exceptional circumstances such as flight cancellation, sickness or unforeseen political developments. These changes can be made at the registration desk onsite at Council in Berlin.
Voting in Berlin will be by show of hand, not electronic voting pad. As normal, voting delegates are identifiable from non-voting guests by the colour of their badges. On matters pertaining the nomination of an ALDE campaign team, only full member parties from EU member states have the right to vote.
A complete delegation list, showing number of voting delegates per party can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
As stated in the Internal Regulations of the ALDE Party, at the Council meeting only full member Parties can propose urgency resolutions. These must relate to current or recent political events or to topical issues that have occurred since the last meeting of the Council. Draft urgencies may not exceed 300 words. The Council shall decide which draft urgency resolutions to debate, after considering the recommendation by the Bureau.
Draft urgency resolutions must be submitted to the online platform http://debate.aldeparty.eu which will be available as of Saturday 2 February. International Officers will have access to the system via the password they have previously been issued. If you do not have a password, contact the ALDE Party Secretariat on the contact details below immediately. As a first time user, please register as indicated on the online platform.
The deadline for submitting urgency resolutions is Friday 8 February at 18:00 CET
