Ciudadanos is a nation-wide Spanish party born in Catalonia in 2006. As a liberal, progressive and constitutionalist political project, Ciudadanos believes in an open society of free and equal citizens. One that advances individual liberties and empowers transparent and democratic institutions.

Rooted in profound European values, Ciudadanos stands for a united and diverse Spain within a strong European Union, confronting nationalism and populism. It is also committed to the knowledge-based economy and a staunch defender of the evidence-based policy making as ways to achieve lasting consensus that better the lives of our citizens.
