Travel Reimbursement

In accordance with ALDE Party statutes, partial travel costs will be reimbursed to ALDE Party Council delegates only. To claim your reimbursement, download the form at the bottom of this page & follow the instructions listed on it.

Copying & Printing

In order to comply with ALDE Party committments to environmental sustainability, the compilation of resolutions & the amendment table will NOT be printed & distributed to delegates. Instead, all registered delegates will receive the aforementioned documents by email, prior to the Congress.

Following the Working Groups on Friday 20 November, all delegates will receive an email with the draft table of amendments containing the recommendations made by the working groups, to Congress.

All these documents will also be available via the Congress app.

Information about copy shops with printing facilities in the local area will be available in your Congress book.

Congress App

The ALDE Party events team are working on the 2015 Congress app which will be available for download shortly via the App Store & Google Play.

The Congress app will give you full access to all information about the Congress, including programme, political documents, up-to-the-minute venue information & news. It will also allow you to create your own personalised event schedule.

Travel & transport in & around Budapest

Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport (BUD) is located about 22 km from the city centre and the Congress venues. Sofitel Chain Bridge Hotel and Intercontinental Hotel can be easily reached by taxis, public transport, airport shuttles or private transfers.

Taking a taxi from the airport to the city centre is probably the fastest and most convenient way of travel. The rides have a fairly accessible cost (about 22 EUR – depending on traffic conditions); however try to avoid non-regulated taxi service providers soliciting at terminal buildings. The taxi company recommended by Budapest Airport is Főtaxi, reservations can be made in person or booked previously online.

The city centre is easily accessible via public transport as well. Bus number 200 E runs frequently between the airport and Kőbánya-Kispest metro terminal (metro line M3) from 4.00 am to 11.00 pm. The closest metro station to Sofitel Chain Bridge Hotel and Intercontinental Hotel are Deák Ferenc Square (metro line M3) and Vörösmarty Square (metro line M1).

Another option for making your journey from the aiport to the city centre and Congress venues are to book an airport shuttle (AirportShuttle-Minibus) or a private transfer (e.g. MiniBusz Travel). You can also rent a car at the airport.

For more information regarding transports, please consult the aiport’s website (
