Corona pandemic crisis - lessons to be learned with Taiwan as example

ALDE Party President Hans van Baalen has issued the following statement:

We live in challenging times as the Chinese say. Nobody has the experience or the expertise to deal with the unprecedented Corona crisis without mistakes. Therefore, we should avoid blame games. We should try to slow down the Corona virus from spreading in order that our health systemens and other vital services do not collapse and the economy can recover. When the situation returns to normal - and it will - we should draw lessons from the Corona crisis. Taiwan did so after the SARS crisis. Without the help of the WHO, the Taiwanese have been able to contain Corona. We should learn from them.
