Dalibor Paus elected new leader of IDS Croatia

At the party’s 34th electoral assembly, held in Poreč, Croatia, on 11 September, Dalibor Paus was elected the new leader of ALDE Party member the Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS). The new Vice-Presidents of the party are Valter Glavičić, Marko Paliaga, Loris Peršurić, Elena Puh Belci and Arijana Brajko Gall.

In his speech, Paus thanked all those who have contributed to the party’s work over the years, with a special mention to the outgoing leader Boris Miletić. Paus noted that his decision to enter the leadership race was motivated by the same reason why he decided to enter into politics in the first place.

“I feel the need to put my time, knowledge and skills at the disposal of the community when needed. I love my region and my people, and the policies of the IDS are in my heart. I live them every day and I am convinced that the policies of our party perfectly reflect the priorities, interests and needs of our climate,” Paus said.

“There is a lot of work ahead for the new leadership, but we, as good Istrians, are not afraid of work and intend to work on improving every segment of such a complex organisation as IDS. We will succeed in that, I do not have the slightest hesitation,” Paus concluded.
