On 4 March, 600 members and supporters gathered for the congress of Demokratesch Partei, ALDE Party member in Luxembourg, where the party presented its Framework Programme for the 2023 Municipal Elections on 11 June.  

With the slogan ‘Close to you’, the programme aims to bring public services closer to residents by promoting social coexistence, modernising infrastructure, promoting sustainable energy, and implementing policies to address climate change.  

In his speech to Congress, party leader Lex Delles, who is also currently the Minister for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Minister for Tourism, said: “We make a policy that takes people's concerns and needs seriously. With a policy from the people for the people. With a policy that is ‘Close to you”: national and also municipal."
