Founded in 1991, Eesti Keskerakond ("Estonian Centre Party") is a centrist political party which aims to guarantee Estonia’s independence and sovereignty, secure European welfare state and a dignified life with respect of fundamental values. Eesti Keskerakond self-defines as the party of the liberal middle class with humanistic goals aiming to bring democratic reforms. Historically, the party has been the most popular among Russian-speaking citizens. Currently, Centre Party is one of the three largest political parties in Estonia.
