More about the event:

The European Union is facing many challenges, such as Brexit, Security and Defence and Migration, while the European elections are already next year.

There is the the migration crisis in the European Union where since a few years, people attempt to reach Europe via different routes and means, while some member states close their borders. This has lead to tensions between various member states, and it is perceived that current EU arrangements are inadequate to deal with the migration crisis.

The NATO summit of this summer has led to questions whether current treaties can continue to provide for the necessary security and defence of Europe. Will the United States disconnect itself from transatlantic relations and what about the security around the Mediterranean sea?

In June 2016, the result of the referendum in the United Kingdom led to a decision by the British government to leave the European Union, the so-called Brexit. What next?

To find a solution to all these questions, upon invitation of the individual members in France, you are kindly invited to join this conference that will be full of speeches, discussions, workshops and which should result in motions on all three themes, Migration, Security and Defence, and Brexit.

The programme is available as a PDF download.
