On 23 May, Sandro Gozi will represent the Renew Europe Now platform in the Eurovision debate with other lead candidates for the European elections.
The debate, which follows the Bruegel-Financial Times debate held on 21 May and the Maastricht Debate held on 29 April, will take place in the hemicycle of the European Parliament in Brussels from 15:00 – 17:00.
Organised by the European Broadcasting Union, this is the final debate in the lead-up to the European elections due to take place across all EU Member States on 6-9 June.
Participants will be quizzed on six main topics of economy and jobs; defence and security; climate and environment; democracy and leadership; migration and borders; and innovation and technology.
The five participants are:
- Walter Baier (Party of the European Left)
- Sandro Gozi (Renew Europe Now)
- Terry Reintke (European Greens)
- Nicolas Schmit (Party of European Socialists)
- Ursula von der Leyen (European People’s Party)
