From 1976 to 2019 – ALDE Party history in milestones

Earlier this year, the ALDE Party celebrated the 43rd anniversary of its founding: in 1976 in Stuttgart, the European Liberal Democrats created a liberal political family which, to this day, continues to promote liberal European values.

Many things have happened since the initial meeting in Stuttgart, including but not limited to the change from a federation to a political party in 1993, new name in 2012 and the unprecedented success in the 2019 European elections. And more is to come, as the upcoming ALDE Party Congress in Athens will be the 40th one in the party’s history.

To highlight these key milestones, a short video on the relevant moments has been released.
