”I hate to break it to you but women are not a minority,” she reminded the audience.

As the European elections are just days away, both Garicano and Vestager urged citizens to take to the polls this week.

”Voting is power,” said Vestager. ”Vote with your heart. You don’t have to know everything but you are needed as part of our community working for a peaceful Europe where we’ll get things done.”

For Garicano and his party Ciudadanos, Europe is the dream, the future:

”That’s why we all need to participate on Sunday,” he said.
