Earlier this month, the ALDE Party Secretariat welcomed a new HR Manager to the team.

Alessandra Russo, originally from Italy, has previously worked with global organisations such as the United Nations, European Commission, AB-InBev and Adecco. Alessandra is in charge of all HR-related matters at the ALDE Party.

Alessandra summarised her philosophy:

“Good communication between colleagues, mutual trust and rewarding managers are crucial elements to build great teams and to have motivated and performing employees. The role of the HR is helping managers and team members to work and build together the Best Place to Work.

My approach related to HR follows the Ubuntu African philosophy ‘A person is a person through other people’. This is a principle that individuals should follow in their personal life as well as in their professional one.”
