ALDE Party's individual members had the chance to elect their delegates for the ALDE Party Congress 2018.
Polls were open from 25 June until 2 July 2018, when it was confirmed that more than 2.000 individual members are up-to-date with their membership fee payment. Therefore, for the first time, there will be four delegates representing individual members at the ALDE Congress from 8-10 November in Madrid.
Congratulations to the four elected members:
The full details of the election results are available in the visual below.
The official report of this election is available on the website of "Electionrunner".
You have elected the delegates that will represent us at the ALDE Congress. It is the delegates’ responsibility to submit individual members’ draft resolutions to the ALDE Congress and to make sure they are presented in the correct way according to Congress quality standards and negotiated ahead of the Congress to create goodwill and support for our draft resolutions.
However, it is your job to set the priority of what proposals we’ll be submitting to Congress as individual members! Therefore, the next step is to choose which proposals for resolutions are our priority. On Wednesday 18 July all members who are up-to-date with their membership fee will receive a voting ballot in their inbox where you can vote for what you believe is our political priority.
Currently, members are working on drafting resolutions in the online collaboration tool Slack, ahead of the deadline of 15 July when draft resolutions (including the required 20 signatures of support) must be submitted to the ALDE Party secretariat. If you’re interested in getting involved, go to Slack (if you’re not yet on the individual members’ Slack, write to Oceane at [email protected] and ask for your access).
