Individual members in Austria met on 17 August for their annual general meeting. The political leader of ALDE Party member NEOS, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, joined the individual members and in her greeting to members she emphasised the importance of the European Union and the threat of populism. She said that in her every day political work she: "fights for a Europe of freedom, peace and opportunities."
After the welcome words, members discussed a wide variety of issues such as cross-border cooperation, the future of the European Union and the upcoming ALDE Congress.
