In the last days, Individual Members have been organising different activities throughout Europe.
On 3 February Individual Member Stuart Bonar handed it a petition to 10 Downing Street calling on the UK Prime Minister to negotiate with the European Union for UK nationals to have the right, post-Brexit, to opt into continuing EU citizenship if they want.
Bonar set up the petition after Guy Verhofstadt, ALDE Group leader and European Parliament's Brexit negotiator, made a similar statement on Brexit.
Already 37,161 supporters have signed the petition, which was posted in Stuart Bonar's anti-Brexit Facebook page. You can take a look at the petition here.
On the other side of the continent, on Friday 26 January, Despoina Limniotaki, Greek ALDE Individual Member and Regional Coordinator for Crete, gave a lecture at the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Chania, Crete, on how politics influence the startup ecosystem and shape the ways entrepreneurship functions, sustains motivation and grows.
Despoina was invited by the Youth Entrepreneurship Club of Crete, the team of young, motivated students of the University of Chania who also organize the Startup Europe Week, the initiative aimed at celebrating entrepreneurship across countries, a series of events promoted by the European Commission and StartupEurope.
