ALDE Party's individual members are invited to participate in a by-election to elect a new Steering Committee member. The elections will take place this month. By the deadline of 4 April at 11h00 CET, the ALDE Party secretariat has received six valid nominations. Members will be able to vote if they have paid their membership fee not more than 12 months ago.
In addition, members living in Belgium and the United Kingdom can vote at the same time in an election for their country coordinators. Members in Italy will be able to elect their country coordinators later this month.

The six candidates in the Steering Committee by-election are (in alphabetical order of first name):
The ALDE Party secretariat received three other nominations, from Eirik Romstad, Johan Van Woensel and Simone Primiceri. However, their nominations did not fulfil all criteria to become a valid candidate.
Please be aware of the following deadlines:
By 13 April: Online election opens. You will have one week to vote. Members will receive in their inbox a voting ballot from the online election tool "Election Runner". As this is a by-election, you can only choose one candidate. The candidate with most votes wins the election (relative majority).
By 20 April: Voting closes and results will be announced.
