Liberal International - ALDE Party Joint Statement on the ‘Election’ of the President of Georgia
The aim of the day is to bring together knowledgeable European speakers to ensure a lively debate about the future of European society in the wake of the European Parliamentary elections, BREXIT and the rise of populism.
The 4 sessions include
- The Meaning of Democracy for Britons in France,
- The Future of European Politics and Democracy
- European Security & Defence
- European Perspective on the Environment & Technology Investment.
Contributors include Tom Brake MP (UK), Olivier Cadic Senateur (FR), General Camporini (IT) and G.Boltz Airbus (FR).
The underlying theme is the opportunity to build pan-European understanding following the successful Nice conference of autumn 2018.
The event is organised by ALDE Party's individual members in and the UK LibDems in France with the support of REM, MODEM, PR, UDI and FDP.
This event is open to everybody of whatever political viewpoint. The sessions will be in English and French.
