Registrations are now open to the ALDE Group seminar addressing the key issues that EU legislators have to be aware of, in order to facilitate a full transition to electric vehicles in a sustainable manner, in a scenario where main European car manufactures foresee all new models would be electric or hybrid from 2019.

The rise of electric vehicles is a valid indicator of the systemic change in the European energy market and such an early warning should be taken seriously. How is Europe planning to deal with the electricity demand when electric vehicles account for 50% of European road transport? Is there enough clean electricity? What sort of roadmap do the member states foresee to implement in order to carry on the necessary infrastructural changes? These are some of the questions that we will address in this seminar.
