We are happy to invite you to our next thematic Liberal Breakfast on Tuesday 9 June from 9:30-10:30 CEST where we will be discussing:
Racing up the Fight: a Pan-European Approach to Combat COVID-19
The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented challenge for the public health, the economy, and the society. By now, governments across Europe are already setting up their exit strategies to reboot the economic activity while looking for solutions to combat the virus. A vaccine is essential in the long-term solution against the virus. Currently, the international community is joining efforts to accelerate its development and several promising clinical trials have already begun.
Europe is one of the front-runners to first develop the vaccine but what if the vaccine is developed outside Europe? How can we ensure that the vaccine is available for all? How can we ensure future sufficient investment is made to safeguard against future pandemics? These questions and more will be explored during this event so join us for a morning filled with great discussion!
We are happy to be partnering with Johnson & Johnson on this Liberal Breakfast event who has been actively working in the development of a COVID-19 vaccine in Europe as well as identifying new and existing treatments for those who have been affected by the virus. Johnson & Johnson has also been providing equipment, products, financial donations, and their own human resources to support organisations and healthcare workers on the front lines since the beginning of the pandemic in Europe.
