Join our call for sanctions against Iran now!

Join our call for the EU Foreign Affairs Council to enact immediate sanctions against Iran’s repressive regime!

The incredible courage of the women of Iran has stunned the world.

Women who are seen in public without a headscarf are harassed, imprisoned, tortured and even killed. Mahsa Jina Amini, killed after the intervention of Iran’s “morality” police has paid the highest price. We cannot stand by and watch the brutality with which an oppressive regime tries to control the bodies, minds and lives of women.

The people of Iran have taken to the streets to speak out against this repression. And Europeans have shown their support by joining in solidarity marches across the EU.

Now is the time to act!

On 6 October, the European Parliament voted for:

  • Solidarity with the women of Iran and support for peaceful protests against systemic oppression
  • Iranian authorities must release protesters and drop all charges
  • Sanction Iranian officials involved in both Mahsa Amini’s death and the violence against protestors
  • An impartial investigation into the killing

On 17 October, these sanctions will be discussed by EU foreign ministers in the Foreign Affairs Council.

We, the people and the citizens of the EU, demand an unconditional and immediate end to all violence against the women and men of Iran.

Thank you for your support,
