ALDE President issues statement on the situation in Eastern Ukraine

Following the developments in Eastern Ukraine very closely, ALDE President Hans van Baalen has issued a strongly worded statement in which he calls on President Putin to immediately pull back the troops from the border. ALDE Party Vice President Ilhan Kyuchyuk MEP has met virtually with Kira Rudyk MP, leader of ALDE member Golos, and MP Andrii Osadchuk to discuss the situation in Eastern Ukraine and hear the latest updates on Russia's provocations.
