Join our Liberal Breakfast on the French Presidential election results

On 28 April at 8:30 CEST, the ALDE Party together with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) Europe, will host a Liberal Breakfast on the recent French presidential elections.

The French people have spoken, and they have granted Emmanuel Macron another five years in the Elysée. Having secured a victory with 58.5% of the votes, President Emmanuel Macron soundly defeated the nationalist Marine Le Pen, who scored 41.5%. This is a victory for centrist, liberal, pro-European politics over the forces of populism.

What can we expect from France at the European level as war rages on in Ukraine? Can Europe expect more of the same or a push for radical change from Paris?

The breakfast will kick off with a presentation of the key findings of the FNF study "Vive l'Europe - European Policy-Making Under Emmanuel Macron".

Therefore, join us in an interesting and interactive morning with our distinguished guests to learn more about the future of France and Europe!
