Liberal leaders meet ahead of EU-Western Balkans Summit

Preceding the EU-Western Balkans Summit on 6 October, liberal leaders from across Europe met to discuss Europe’s pressing challenges, regional cooperation and the shared way forward.

Meeting in the Brdo Castle in Slovenia, the participants covered topics such as EU enlargement, economic recovery, cooperation and the opportunities that lie ahead for Europe in our changing times. The EU leaders agreed on the Brdo declaration, with which the Western Balkans partners have aligned themselves.

Janez Lenarčič - EU Commissioner for Crisis Management
Werner Hoyer – European Investment Bank President
