On 29 January, ALDE Party and Renew Europe co-hosted a meeting of Ministers from our political family in Brussels ahead of the General Affairs Council of the European Union.
The meeting was chaired by Hilde Vautmans MEP, lead candidate for ALDE Party member Open VLD in Belgium for the European elections on 6-9 June.
Ministers discussed items on the GAC Council agenda, including the priorities of the Belgian Council presidency, the Defence of European Democracy package and the annual rule of law dialogue.
Participants included:
- Anders Adlercreutz, Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering (SFP, FI)
- Xavier Bettel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs (DP, LU)
- Adam Szłapka, Minister for European Affairs (Nowoczesna, PL)
