Currently in his third mandate as Member of the European Parliament, Kyuchyuk was awarded various prestigious international awards for his tireless work in defence of human rights.

Barry Andrews MEP, from ALDE Party member Fianna Fáil in Ireland, was elected by acclamation as the new Chair of the Committee on Development (DEVE).
Andrews was re-elected for a second term as MEP in June, representing the Dublin constituency, and previously served as Ireland’s Minister of State for Children from 2008 to 2011.
"The EU is a valued leader on development and humanitarian aid and I will do my utmost to ensure this continues and grows, at a time when populism and isolationism are increasing globally. Conflicts in our neighbourhood, and the need to progress our sustainable development goals show the need for resolute humanitarian and development policies," said Andrews.
