Lista Marjana Šarca

Party Leader: Marjan Šarec

The Marjan Šarec List (LMŠ) was established in May 2014 on the initiative of Marjan Šarec. The first few years of the party's existence consisted of working at the local level, as Šarec led the Municipality of Kamnik for two terms. Afterwards, the party successfully transferred to the state level becoming the second most voted for party in the 2018 parliamentary elections with 13 elected members of the National Parliament. Based on the result, Marjan Šarec became the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, governing the country from 13 of September 2018 until 13 of March 2020. In the meantime, the European Union elections were held in which Irena Joveva and Dr. Klemen Grošelj were elected as MEPs, representing the LMŠ party. The LMŠ party programme is always future-oriented with emphasis on green politics and digitalization as an opportunity for a better future. It also supports a strong, open and innovative economy with the foundation of social security and welfare, protection of citizens and the rule of law as our fundamental values, along with the preservation of public health, public education and coordinated policy for foreign affairs. We are advocating for a stable, strong and united Europe, connecting our community with respect and trust. We believe in the need for powerful European institutions oriented on actively working in favour of all Member States. In the EU there shouldn't be any room for different forms of populism, Euroscepticism and extremism.
