Field of expertise: European policies
Ľubica Karvašová has worked in diplomacy in Slovakia and Brussels for more than 13 years. She worked in the Slovak foreign service, was a member of the Permanent Representation of Slovakia to the European Union and a diplomatic advisor to three different Slovak Prime Ministers, including Ludovít Ódor, resulting instrumental in shaping foreign and European policy.
In 2010, she completed engineering studies in international economic relations and economic diplomacy at the Faculty of International Relations of the University of Economics in Bratislava, subsequently completing a master's degree in European Affairs at the Sorbonne University in Paris.
Her grandfather, Imrich Karvaš, led the fight for the values of freedom and democracy by financing the Slovak National Uprising and is a great inspiration to her. During her mandate, she will focus on the development of Slovak regions, particularly for what concerns entrepreneurship, innovation and culture.
