Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann
Field of expertise: Security and defence
Strack-Zimmermann broke new ground as the first female mayor of the state capital Düsseldorf between 2008 and 2014. In 2017, she was elected to the German Bundestag, securing re-election in 2021 and taking up a role as chair of the Bundestag’s influential Defence Committee.
In 2024, she was nominated as FDP’s lead candidate for the European elections, while ALDE Party also nominated her as one of the three lead candidates of the joint electoral platform Renew Europe Now with Renaissance and the European Democratic Party.
Andreas Glück
Field of expertise: Medicine
A former surgeon, Glück was elected to the municipal council of his hometown of Münsingen, Germany, becoming deputy mayor from 2014 to 2019. He was elected to the Landtag of Baden-Württemberg in 2011, and to the European Parliament in 2019.
"I believe in a Europe of the regions. The EU has a special responsibility in climate protection, on the issues of uniform migration and the handling of refugees, as well as in negotiations with countries outside Europe," he said.
Svenja Hahn
Field of expertise: Civil rights, consumer protection and internal market
A former President of the European Liberal Youth (LYMEC), Hahn was elected to the European Parliament in 2019. Since 2022, she has served as one of ALDE Party’s Vice-Presidents, working strategically on the 2024 European elections and the party's internal women's network.
In the last mandate, she was part of Parliament’s Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO), resulting instrumental in delivering the European Union’s regulation on artificial intelligence (AI Act) as one of its shadow rapporteurs.
Moritz Körner
Field of expertise: Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs
In 2017, Körner became the youngest Member of Parliament in the German region of North Rhine-Westphalia at the age of 26. The following year, he was nominated as FDP’s 4th candidate for the 2019 European elections, resulting in his election as an MEP.
In the last mandate, Körner served as FDP's head of delegation in the EP, being responsible for the group's organisation and strategic orientation in Brussels, and as a member of Renew Europe’s executive committee.
Jan-Christoph Oetjen
Field of expertise: Agriculture and transport
Oetjen was elected to the State Parliament of Lower Saxony in the 2003 state elections, serving as his parliamentary group’s spokesperson on agricultural policy and being subsequently re-elected three times.
He was elected to the European Parliament in 2019, taking up the role of Vice-Chair of the Committee on Transport and Tourism. In January 2024, he was elected as one of the European Parliament’s 12 Vice-Presidents.
