Karin Karlsbro

Field of expertise: Sustainability

Karin Karlsbro served as the chairman of the Liberal Youth of Sweden between 1995 and 1997. She held a number of political offices in Stockholm, most recently serving as group leader in Norrtälje between 2014 and 2018. She served a Deputy Cabinet Member of the Riksdag in 2014 and is the number one Deputy Member for Liberalerna.

Since becoming a Member of the European Parliament in 2019, Karlsbro has been serving on the Committee on International Trade. In this capacity, she has been working on the EU’s law on deforestation. She was re-elected to the European Parliament in 2024 as Liberalerna’s lead candidate for the European elections.
