Meet our MEPs: Union des démocrates et indépendants (UDI)

Following the European elections on 6-9 June, ALDE Party will be represented by a new group of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) who will lead the fight for liberal values in the next five years.

In this episode of our series, we shine a spotlight on Union des démocrates et indépendants (UDI) from France, led by Hervé Marseille.

Valérie Devaux

Field of expertise: Regional policy

Valérie Devaux became involved in politics as a teenager alongside Valéry Giscard d'Estaing at the UDF, then at the UDI where she held the position of departmental delegate.Elected in 2014 and re-elected in 2020 to the city of Amiens, she exercises the delegation of deputy mayor of the southern sector and metropolitan councilor.

In 2021, she was elected departmental councilor of the Somme, co-chairing the majority group. Her commitment to serving her fellow citizens has always been her main motivation, which she will continue to bring to the European Parliament.
