Dan Barna
Field of expertise: Foreign Affairs
In 2016, Dan Barna served as Secretary of State of the Ministry of European Funds, subsequently joining USR and being elected as a Member of Parliament. In 2017, he was elected as the new President of USR: in five years at the helm, he led the party’s rise from opposition to government, setting a new standard for good governance in Romania.
In his second mandate as MP, he served Vice-President of the Romanian Parliament, with his responsibilities including representing the Parliament in relation to foreign delegations. In 2024, he was elected to the European Parliament as USR’s lead candidate. He is now Vice-President of USR and ALDE Party.
Vlad Voiculescu
Field of expertise: Health and economics
Voiculescu began his political career as an independent, holding the position of cabinet director of the Minister of Public Finance in 2016. He worked as Romania's Minister of Health from 2016 to 2017, and again from 2020 to 2021.
He is known as one of the founders of Magicamp, a non-profit organisation that offers supportive therapies and financial aid to children diagnosed with cancer and their families. In 2024, he was elected to the European Parliament representing USR.
