Morten Løkkegaard
Field of expertise: Economics
Løkkegaard has served as a Member of the European Parliament and the Danish Parliament intermittently since 2009. He has held his current position as a member of the European Parliament since 2016, representing Venstre.
Having first been elected to the European Parliament in 2009, he returned to national politics in 2014 representing the constituency of Copenhagen in the Folketing. He returned to Brussels in 2016 and was re-elected in 2019 and 2024 as the party’s lead candidate, serving in both terms as one of Renew Europe’s Vice-Presidents.
Asger Christensen
Field of expertise: Agriculture and rural policy
Asger Christensen, from the town of Tarm in west Denmark, was elected to the European Parliament and served on the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development. In 2024, he was re-elected to the European Parliament as second candidate on Venstre’s list.
He has been a member of the city council in Kolding Municipality since 2014 and is also chair of the Lejrskov-Jordrup Parish Council. He is a farm owner and runs a farm of 400 hectares with a herd of 650 cows.
