On Tuesday 26 March, the Renaissance list for the European elections was launched in Paris, France. Led by La Republique en Marche, the list also will feature two candidates of ALDE member Mouvement Radical.
On place number 16 is Dominique Riquet. Mr Riquet is currently a Member of the European Parliament elected in the electoral district North-West since 2009.
On place number 25 is Catherine Amalric. Mrs Amalric is deputy-mayor in the city of Aurillac and a medical doctor by profession.
Some weeks ago, Mouvement Radical/Social-Libéral held its first party congress during which the party’s spot on the En Marche led list for the upcoming European Parliament elections was confirmed.
In his speech to Congress, the Party Leader Laurent Hénart said: “We must, for this election, ally with pro-European parties and organisations: to Social-Democrats, to independent ecologists, to the moderate right-wing and, of course to the Democratic Movement (MoDem) and En Marche.”
“There are conditions to succeed. First, this list shall not be the one of the Government and the majority, but one to gather true Europeans. I expect En Marche to show some listening and openness.”
