At the end of November, Raluca Cîrju joined the ALDE Party Secretariat in Brussels as the new data intern. During her high school studies she specialised in math and computer science after which she completed a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and EU Studies in Romania and a Master’s degree in EU law in the Netherlands.
With previous experience as a trainee in the translation unit at the EESC and as an Intellectual Property Paralegal in Brussels, she is currently following online courses on web development and data analysis.
As a data analysis intern, she assists ALDE’s data team with analysis, data mining, visualisation and presentation and helps member parties with their data projects across Europe.
"During my studies, I have developed a strong interest in both EU politics and coding, and I look forward to seeing what data has to say about the EU. This is an exciting opportunity that encompasses both fields, and I look forward to learn more on this and contribute to the work of the ALDE’s Secretariat."
